The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to promote the upcoming boxing match.
Former two time unified title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead criticized former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's greatest financial successes, regularly earning huge financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually happening.
